Kirjastoesseet#2 ”Portaikkoja ajatellaan kovin harvoin”

Pilvi Porkola

Father died. All that remains are books: sentences, words, commas and dots. The books speak of a past world, of something that may have been.

Kirjastoesseet#2 ”Portaikkoja ajatellaan kovin harvoin” is speech and poetry based performance in Finnish by Pilvi Porkola. It deals with the topic of death and how books speak from a past world.

The performance is a continuation of Kirjastoesseet#1 "Norsut piirretään usein luonnollista kokoaan pienempinä", which was presented in the old library in Maunula in 2016-17.

Pilvi Porkola is a performance artist, researcher, teacher and writer.
