Lovely

Noora Juppi | Outsider Art Festival

Lovely is a performance project by pole dancer Noora Juppi, exploring the intersection of pole dance performance and meditation practice. The piece explores experiences of sensitivity, pleasure, and connection achievable through meditation, as well as the possibilities of expressing them through pole dance and movement. The project consists of six smaller participatory events and a stage performance. The events are small-scale participatory works that investigate various ways to integrate a workshop and performance, blending meditation into the experience of both performing and watching. The sound designer of Lovely is Tuuli Kainulainen.

The event is in Finnish and gently participatory.

The work is part of the programme of the Outsider Art Festival and is realised in collaboration with Mad House Helsinki and Tekstin talo.
