Ella Skoikka: Poet in my - my life as Fabou
in collaboration with Moving in November festival
Fabou lives in my dreams. It appears behind the door while I sleep, while I kiss. Fabou is a bird, possibly moss, a dance, a vision, a nightmare, a wish, a working method, a troll, a storyteller and a parallel universe.
Ella Skoikan and Poet in my - my life as Fabou is a performance that blurs the boundaries between live performance and dance work. In this performance, the emotions of an intimate life, ecological grief and wild dreams meet in a play of imagination. The performance is a simultaneous outburst, a dream, a cry and a reach for different contexts.
Poet in my - My Life as Fabou premiered in Kutomo (Turku) in 2022 at the Ehkä-production´s XS - Festival for New Dance and Performance.
The work is part of Moving in November festival 2.-12.11.2023. As part of the festival, there will be an open discussion with the invited artists and local host called Soup Talk 4.11. at noon in Caisa.
