Curators of the 2022 NoMad House

Welcome to Mad House with Tea Andreoletti and Daniela Pascual!

Artists Tea Andreoletti and Daniela Pascual are the curators of the 2022 NoMad House programme. With Mad House having to vacate its Teurastamo space at the end of this year* and Mad House temporarily operating without its own space, the new curators approach curating through audiences.

Tea Andreoletti is a performance artist who works as a storyteller, water sommelier, pilgrimage guide and amateur swordsman. She has just started a long-term project that will lead her to run for mayor of her hometown in 2026. She sees the role of mayor as a curatorial work that activates the dynamics of living together.

Artist Daniela Pascual has a background in social sciences and urban planning. She uses her skills to question learned narratives and imagine other ways of being in the world. Daniela's work is concerned with the relationship to space and she is interested in the vitality of plants, autonomy and oral means.

"We hope NoMad House can act as a connector between artists and their audiences. This idea will serve as a thread running through our work on the programme and its venues. We want to invite artists to reflect on the idea of their audiences, rather than offering a piece to fit a particular venue or theme," the curators say of their plans for the programme and the open call for applications.

The open call for next year's NoMad House programme will open in November.
