First news of 2022: Recruitment of a spokesperson and a new office

Laura Tolvanen has been in charge of communications and public relations at Mad House since January. Tolvanen, who majored in aesthetics, has a work history of developing organisational work and is familiar with the structures of the Finnish art scene.

"Mad House is a great vantage point on the domestic cultural and artistic scene. Madi's bold and experimental pioneering work in the performing arts provides the right tools to develop diversity and visibility in the arts. I look forward to working with artists and audiences in a people-oriented way."

Tolvanen will be responsible for Mad House's information, external communication and public relations. 

Madi's new offices in Vallila

At the turn of the year, Mad House moved from Teurastamo to the premises of the Artlab collective in Vallila, Helsinki. Artlab Oy, located at Nilsiänkatu 8, is a creative community that has warmly welcomed Mad House to its premises. 

Unlike Teurastamo, Mad House does not have its own performance spaces in Artlab. The 2022 space issues and Nomad House's touring venues are still taking shape; we'll have more news as soon as possible!
